The little village of St Jean des Champs is 2 mins: drive from La Fermonniere which contains the local baker, butcher, chemist, post office and general stores.
Granville which is 10 mins: drive has many places of interest, i.e. restaurants, museums, grand marina, it also has the highest rising tide in Europe, with the port facilities to quickly visit the channel islands by Catamaran.
Just before you enter Granville, there is a big E Leclerc hypermarket which stocks almost everything.
Ten minutes in the opposite direction is the small village of Champrepus, which has a lovely zoo and play area for the children, a wonderful day out.
There is also a beautiful walk from Genets to Mont St Michel, which is not to be missed, but you will need a guide
We have many local markets which stock fresh fish, cheeses, vegetables and many more delights.
There are many reasonable restaurants in the area which cater to most needs.
Tennis, fishing, golfing, water sports, swimming and riding are nearby for the enthusiasts, not forgetting of course our beautiful beaches.
